CEO Heather Hesketh named a Woman Extraordinaire by Business Leader Magazine
Raleigh, NC – 8 December 2005 – Business Leader magazine has named Heather Hesketh, CEO of hesketh.com, as a Woman Extraordinaire for 2005. She and ten other extraordinary women from the Triangle were honored this year for their accomplishments in their professional, civic, and personal lives.

Heather founded hesketh.com in 1995 as an Internet technology consultant company. She originally set out to be an aerospace engineer, but soon found that there wasn’t enough interaction with people in that field. She began doing freelance Web work in the early 1990’s and realized that all functions of the Internet interact with people. That led to her interest in user experience in Web design, and hesketh.com was born. Now hesketh.com is a leading user experience agency specializing in Internet-based solutions for progressive not-for-profits, higher education, and venture-backed startups.
Passionate about her business and commitments to the community, Heather is involved in many programs, including the Triangle Women’s Center, Building Character, Web Standards Project, Triangle Web Women, and Leadership America North Carolina.
