Great relationships unlock great projects

The key to a great project is a great relationship. Advanced Energy (AEC) and hesketh.com have worked together for the last five years; and their latest accomplishment is the launch of Advanced Energy's second redesign.

Advanced Energy is an independent, non-profit corporation that creates means for sustainable energy-efficient economic development for the taxpayers of NC and operates as a fee-for-service consultancy in the fields of industrial processes, electric motors and drives, and applied building sciences.

Project Summary

Objectives:

  1. To make inormation easier to find.
  2. To increase awareness and use of online resources to better promote/communicate AEC's expertise.
  3. Revamp the visual brand.

Metrics:

  1. Compare traffic to top destinations on the old site to those of the new site.
  2. Compare traffic to the resources on the old site to those of the new site.
  3. Measure reliance on the search engine and site map.
  4. Analyze click paths.

Production Notes:

The mark-up is standards compliant for xHTML and CSS. It is also semantically correct. When the container table used for layout is removed this quarter, the site layout will be completely tableless.
