TogetherSoft and hesketh.com Share Accolades for Award-Winning Web Site
Raleigh, NC - 14 March 2002 — Yesterday's Web was about revolution. Today's Web is about evolution. It's about refining what you already have, making it more usable, more navigable, and more intuitive. TogetherSoft Corporation, an international software and services company with headquarters in Raleigh, NC, set out to evolve their existing Web site by partnering with local Web services firm hesketh.com.
For their collaborative work on the TogetherSoft Web site redesign, TogetherSoft and hesketh.com received an Award of Excellence in Online Communication from the Carolina chapter of the Society for Technical Communication at the chapter's annual awards banquet, held on March 13 at the Prestonwood Country Club in Cary. Dinner and dessert were served while award-winners of the 2001 Online Communication, Technical Publications, and Technical Art Competitions were rewarded for their accomplishments.
The Award of Excellence recognizes work that "consistently meets high standards and demonstrates an exceptional understanding of technical communication principles." Says Michael Tucker, Chief Relationship Officer at hesketh.com, "It is a great honor to receive this award. We couldn't have had better partners than Tim Hess and Melanie Stecker at TogetherSoft. We helped them focus their energies and they helped us learn about their organization and their objectives. We're especially proud of successfully completing this project during a time of rapid growth and internal change for TogetherSoft."
Launched last fall, the redesigned TogetherSoft site features pre-sales product and services support, access to the latest downloads and documentation, details about industry news and events, sitelets for TogetherSoft's 10 global offices, and information about the company's background and vision for the future. The site also brands TogetherSoft as an international organization with a history of delivering quality, communicates its corporate culture, and extends the reach of the company's Web presence. "The Web site redesign is really representative of our company's evolution," says Tim Hess, vice president of research and development at TogetherSoft. "hesketh.com really helped us move the site in the right direction - to be more externally focused. We now have a solid foundation that we can build upon as TogetherSoft continues to evolve."
