Raleigh, NC (20 August 1998) — hesketh.com/inc. inked an open-ended contract with McKinney & Silver, the Raleigh arm of CKS Group, a marketing communications firm with headquarters in California. Under the terms of the contract, the two companies will join forces to provide leading edge Web technologies to numerous McKinney & Silver clients in North Carolina and nationally.

Hesketh gives the credit for developing the partnership to Steven Champeon, the company's senior technical consultant. "Steven and McKinney & Silver/CKS discovered the synergy when both were working on a Web project for IBM. During the project, both parties acknowledged that their combined skills could provide an advantage to other clients. And we've simply advanced from 'eureka' to a contractual stage."
Champeon's primary role in the company is staying at the forefront of Web-based technologies. He is also responsible for separating the fads from the substance, Hesketh adds, and for ensuring that the company can quickly deploy technologies that offer clients a unique advantage.
Earlier this summer, Champeon used the company's proprietary techniques to propel his team to victory in the "Cool Site in a Day" competition at Web 98 in San Francisco. The annual contest pits national leaders in Web design from East of the Mississippi against those from the West in a competition to build the best site in eight hours.
