Account Manager

Occupational Summary

The Account Manager is the liaison between the client and development team. The Account Manager’s responsibilities are two-fold, including business development and project management. The Account Manager reports directly to Executive Management.

Duties and Responsibilities

Business Development

  1. Maintain and expand existing relationships.
  2. Lead and execute bidding process from evaluation of RFP requirements to production of the final documents for submission.
  3. Prospect and qualify new customers, initiating and establishing new relationships from the interest generation stage through to close.
  4. Collaborate with management to establish objectives for the expansion of relationships.

Project management

  1. Manage projects, including plan development, resource allocation and management, configuration management, change management, issue management, and risk management.
  2. Provide management of cross-disciplinary projects that include client- and server-side technologies, database and systems integration, communications, and visual design.
  3. Facilitate communication between cross-disciplinary teams.
  4. Collaborate with user experience consultants, visual designers, programmers, and developers to define project budgets and schedules.
  5. Assume ongoing project-related client communication and presentations.

Qualifications

Education

BA or BS degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of account management or business development experience, ideally in technology, consulting, and/or service industries.
  • Not-for-profit experience desired.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft® Project, or equivalent
  • Foosball skills desired
